Risk of E-Marketing

The balance of Personalization and Privacy was taken up with the lecture last week and the assignment of this week (Molson Canada).

By social media developed, and companies can analyze customers' behavior pattern. Thus companies can do effective marketing recently.

On the other hand, the companies which hold customers' important personal information have serious responsible. In Japan, personal information protection law (個人情報保護法) was enforced in 2005, and personal information proctection is strongly required for companies. If company flows out the personal information, they will lose their trust, and will be big loss. In fact, after the law is enforced, the accident and incident of a personal information outflow occur every year. The company lost trust. At the same time, they were busy with post-processing of the accident and incident.

Although analysis of customer behavior becomes easy by development of the Internet and it came to be able to perform various challenges in the viewpoint of marketing. However, we don't forget for the risk of the company to also increase simultaneously.
