50 facts why we need marketing on Mobile

Our last e–marketing course that thought by Prof.  Sugoi lead us to three simply basic jobs of marketers, those jobs are: (1) awareness, means that marketers need to make their products well-known to people in general; (2) trial, which is trying to lead potential customers to buy, or at least try the products; and (3) repeat, means that manage those who already buy/try the products become loyal customers, moreover become advocacy.

Awareness is relative easy task to do in marketing stage; we could say that as long as you have enough money you can make people aware of your product, even though nowadays we still can do awareness in “relatively cheap” but effective (thanks to ICT technology), however awareness is still consider relative easy rather than other 2 jobs mentioned before. One of example that always mentioned by Prof. Sugoi is Pets.com. Rather than say much about awareness, marketers might be interest to the facts that mobile marketing will be easier the task of “trial” and “repeat”. It is coming from Jeanne Hopkins, CMO of SmartBear Software & Jamie Turner, Founder and Chief Content Officer at The 60 Second Marketer that found 50 Mobile Marketing Facts that marketers should know.

Some of the interesting facts such as 9 out of 10 mobile searches lead to action and 70% of its lead to action within one hour while it takes one month for the same percentage of desktop users, more over more than half lead to purchase; mobile ads perform 4-5 times better than online ads. On the same source it mentions that only 15% marketers have no plans to use mobile technology. So as marketers think this kind of technology also, however use your art, attracting customers is not rely only on the technology.
