KFC Thailand apologises for tsunami scare Facbook advert

According to this week case study about Molson company, there was also a case of failure in communication through social network site (Facebook) of KFC Thailand.

This happened on April 2012 during Indian Ocean tsunami occurred. KFC Thailand fanpage tried to promote their products by "urge people to rush home, follow the earthquake news, and order their favourite menu from KFC."

After received many angry comments, KFC Thailand fanpage removed that post and replaced the new post asking for forgiveness.

It is very crucial to do a promotion in the right place at the right time. As viral marketing spreads instantly, KFC should sleep on it before posting such a comment or else it will ruin KFC's reputation.
