Is Our Private Lives Still Private Today?

There is an article telling a story about a teacher who got fired because of facebook. I give you the link below. Her name is Ashley Payne, a 24 years old public high school English teacher in Georgia. She uploaded summer vacation’s picture where she was holding a glass of wine and a mug of beer. Because of that, she was fired after a parent of her student complaining the picture to the school’s principal. The really problem was, Payne actually had used the privacy setting on Facebook so that she believed that her pictures could be seen only by her closest friends. But the reality has confirmed the other way around. Anyone who uses the Internet has to understand that our private lives are no longer so private in the present day.

As we know, it is hard to keep our private lives in the Internet now. There is always someway to track your Internet history. Tracking cookies and following us in every move, advertitisers can figure out what to sell to us. We must consider the fact that we only have two choices if we want to take part in the Internet. We accept that our information is out there and try not to worry about it, or to use some privacy protection tools to stay anonymous online. Check this following link which provides the apps and services to help keep our private lives.
