Viral Marketing campaign in Vietnam

Recently, Viral Marketing has becomes an effective marketing tool in Vietnam to make the brand awareness and WOM spread in the social communities. It may start with Close-up in late 2008. The viral marketing campaign in Vietnam is worthy especially if it targets on the youth.

Some of famous companies have been using this tool, like LaVie with "Hanh trinh ky dieu". LaVie used a website where members can play games on the website and get the prizes per month with iPod Nano and Macbook Pro in the final game (December, 2009). This website also have forum for members to discuss and make friends.

PepsiCo Vietnam is also a company which used viral marketing campaign effectively. By using website named Music Talent, they have organized many activities, like Pepsi Talent show Vietnam 2009 with thousands of Vietnamese youth. They will upload their songs, encourage their friends to listen, vote and make recommendation. Or early in 2009, they organise activity of writing Tet wish on the website which attract many members.
