Value creation and Value added service, VAS for NGN

Any business success is closely related to value creation. Purpose of any business is to create value for closely linked groups such as customers, employees, and investors. Successful value creation is focused on selecting, developing and rewarding right customers and attractive return for investors.
Making consistently useful products and services for customers is value creation.
Successfull value creation follows well defined value-adding services ( VAS ) and activities.
VAS is popular as a telecommunications industry term for non-core services but, it can be used in any service industry, for instance WEB 2.0.
VAS has unique characteristics and they relate to other services in a completely different way.
There are two types of VAS. The first service type are those value-added services that stand alone from an operational perspective. These types of services need not be coupled with other services, but they can be
For example, SMS could be offered and used as a service without voice calling.
The second, and arguably more numerous and important type of VAS, are those services that do not stand-alone.
As for VAS, I consider about VAS for next generation network (NGN).
Next Generation Networking (NGN) is a broad term to describe some key architectural evolutions in telecommunication core and access that will be diployed over the next 5–10 years. The general idea behind NGN is that one network transports all information and services (voice, data, and all sorts of media such as video) by encapsulating these into packets. NGNs are commonly built around the IP (Internet protocol), and therefore the term "all-IP" is also sometimes used to describe the transformation toward NGN.
Value Added Services for Next Generation Networks examines the quest for the real added value in modern communication systems.
