I found this cool site that uses voice or tune recognition to find a song in its database. How many of you have listened to a song and forgot the title or maybe do not know the artist? All you need to do is sing or hum part of the song and the site records it. After you are done it searches its database and all matches are returned (other recordings and possibly the original song). You can then listen to the returned recordings and obtain artist information if available.
This has huge potential for online music stores. Many users have heard songs in the past and forgotten the artist or even the words. They may be interested in buying the song or album containing that song. This feature could help them identify the artist and album making search much easier.
