Advertising personalization and TV over IP

CBS, one of the biggest radio and television broadcasting company in USA, is eager to use the Internet. It has made an alliance with many Web sites which share videos such as Youtube. And, now, it have started to personalize advertisement.

This is an interesting insight from a customer who is frustrated by commercials added to free videos online. He/she stated that adding inappropriate coms to videos like this may induce negative feeling, which is countereffective.

I personally think that adding commercial to free videos is not a bad idea. The customer is frustrated just because the quality of the free video is not yet up to the point that they can tolerate ads. If CBS can upgrade the quality of the video, may be adding commericals can work. This is actually the result of one of my interviews for class :)
