On New media/New communicaiton

When I start to learn new knowledge or get new inforamtion, I usually ask myself firstly what it is or how to define it. Although semantics methodology is limited to find an accurate and objective definition of term, it is truely useful to set up a platform for commucicaiton and understanding. On these terms, e.g new media, digital media, traditiaonal media, Maybe, we could not define them absolutely besides list some characteristics of them, but we might try to clarify these terms to avoid misunderstanding or misapplications. An article linked below provides both clarity of terms and clarity of concepts on media, the Interpersonal and Mass media, the new media for communicaion, etc. Maybe, you couldnot agree with the author, but you should not ignore his opinion.
