Drivers of Mobile Business Models: Lessons From Four Asian Countries

Mobile business models should consider the characteristics of a country’s mobile environment— value chain dynamics, technological opportunities and barriers, government regulation and user culture— in order to achieve success. This paper tried to analyze those characteristics in four countries (Japan, China, Thailand, and Singapore). The findings revealed that there were some similarities and differences among those countries dealing with those drivers and mobile business models might acknowledge these factors to achieve success.
