Mechanical Post Card

Yesterday I found in the Internet website of some guy named Brad Litwin (http://www.mechanicards.com/), he produces and sells very interesting post cards... mechanical post cards
Idea is interesting, but who are the potential customers? And the most important, what is the value proposition?

I felt those postcards are good educational tools for kids.
So,customer would be some grandparents, who live at a distance from their grandchildren.
Customers' problems might be difficulty of stimulating interest in science and of providing effective materials for grandchildren.

Cool stuff! I actually think that this product has a strong value proposition. Basically it's a postcard that you send by mail, but it's not your ordinary postcard.

This product caters to the creative and the sentimental. These days, people are so used to getting messages via email. And i think there is a growing number of people who miss the good old days -- the thrill of actually receiving snail mail and reading handwritten messages. I remember the days when musical greeting card were so popular. I think this innovation to the postcard has the same kind of effect. It lets the recipient be involved in the postcard by turning the wheel. Wouldn't it be a cool surprise to receive such an intricately designed postcard in your mailbox? Especially if it's from somebody special. :)
