It is one type of surviving method of local business. All local companies can use this type of IT technologies, but I think this marketing strategy success depends on the price especially luxury products. Basically, one to one business have a big margine to make small business, and some advantage to get the enough profit taking over break-even point. We can't do this marketing method for common products.
We have to think about the contribution margine at first, because this margin decide how much marketers use the budjets to improve the marketing strategy with attractive campaign.
This is the good case for thinking about marketing method. Technology offen make a miss take for marketers. If we do this method for local manufacturers which make a hand craft souvenir, we fail that. Because general customers don't know the value of souvenir and how mach this souvenir cost to make that. We should consider the external situation of such industry at first.
