One more opponent

We learned push marketing like "Minority Report" is annoying for customers and not effective. We should consider what the value is for customers for marketing.
However, in the real world, there is one more opponent who violate the right way of marketing. It is a sales manager. Sales managers tend to regard marketer's task as making company's logo apear in media as much as possible. So they often claim marketers to do push advertisements, especially in case competitors do so. In addition most of them claim with very loud voice.
I think it is one of marketer's task to persuade them, however, can we, e-marketers, persuade them in calm and proffessional manner?
