The Future: The convenience

In the near future, what customer will value the most is convenience. Because they are very busy, they want to be able to shop from everywhere but still feel like they are in the actual store or shop. They want to be able to see and look around the products and observe them from a remote area.

For example, Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality. By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one.

Or you may do not even need the new technology. By using the existing technology like QR code and smartphone, you can do the new way of marketing.

Tesco placed placing virtual displays that feature over 500 of the most popular products carried in their conventional Tesco Homeplus stores. The walls of the subway station are very convenient place for people to do their shopping while waiting for their train. Customers can scan the QR codes using the Homeplus app on their smartphones and get delivered right to their doorstep.
