Hello class,
I know we have talked a lot about what mobile phones can do in Japan. Since I don't have one here, I have to admit that I was always a little bit skeptical if people are really using all the gadgets and are accessing sites through their mobile phone. On last weeks trip we were at a temple in Kyoto and had met a random Japanese couple and started talking about other temples, especially their opening hours but they were not too sure about them. So, just to be sure we had the correct information, the husband pulled out his cell phone and retrieved all the opening hours for us. Wow, I liked this combination of Japanese hospitality and mobile technology.
