Second life, an internet based virtual community, launched its Japanese version this summer. Before it launched, there were a lot of articles talking about the potential of second life marketing. Mitsukoshi, H.I.S., Toyota ...... some Japanese companies also opened their virtual shops in the Second life world.
However, it seems like a hype rather than a real value added.
