TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION

From prior lesson, we learn slightly about girls walker. They have held some fashion show that called “TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION”.

I like this event because the event attracted a number of seasonal models, TV talent and singers. It is worthwhile even if you just see the on-lookers and we can accumulate more and more information about latest fashion and sing there.

This event went on air through TV, and they also provide movie that they held all previous events on Youtube and their site. In regard to number of viewer, it is about 4milion.

Generally, if we don’t take the clothes in our hand to have a good look, we can’t see the details such as color, size and design. But, recently, even clothing companies, they use internet selling their clothes, and some of consumer buy them through the internet. I think it means whatever be the company, e-marketing is must be necessary for them.
I think to the degree that these consumption increases, the events such as “TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION” are likely to increase more and more.

Imaginary area, “Kawaii ward” was set up in Fukuoka city in Japan.

Mariko Shinoda, who is originally from Fukuoka city and a member of AKB48 (the popular idol group), was placed the ward mayor in August 2012.

Anybody can register the ward resident on the Internet and receive information about food, fashion, and history in Fukuoka city.

We can buy a special resident card for 300 yen and this service must only be possible that Fukuoka city is a public administration.

"SUTEMA" or Stealth-Marketing

At the beginning of this year, a word became very hot in the Japanese Internet community. The word is "SUTEMA," which means "stealth-marketing," the way of advertising with trying to make people unrealize it is advertisement. The start was that Tabelog, most popular restaurant ranking site in Japan, disclosed that paid-poster gave high mark for some restaurants. After that, lots of same problems reported in the other ranking sites, and also it was unveiled that there were so many companies to take on the paid-posting task.

But in my opinion, it doesn't look working so well. Basically, people I think are not so stupid. If you have very bad meals in the restaurant which has high marks in the ranking site, what will you do? Never come again. OK. But, also you can tweet like "the restaurant was terrible!" or "the ranking is shit," or something like that. And, you can post the review in the ranking sites, facebook, blogs, forums, whatever. So it would spread much more virally because the negative information tends to spread faster and broader than the positive one in my understanding.

Furthermore, once the trick is unveiled, the clients will be heavily damaged. Sony, as Sugai Sensei referred in the class, tried to arrange fake viral campaign about PSP in the Christmas season in 2006 but failed, and the sales of this season decreased by 75% (!) from the previous year.

But I am afraid if I am wrong, or I am so optimistic. Have we already been deceived by someone who is building up incredible fortune with the trick?

Bank 3.0

I would like to share with you the amazing concept of banking business model GLoSoMo (Global-Local, Social Mobile), I've just read.

Fidor Bank is the most truly innovative bank in the world.

For example, your interest rate directly related to how many "Likes" you have on Facebook. As much you "Liked", as much you have interest rate on your savings.

Or, to become a customer you need to register through the Facebook Connect, the nickname is also acceptable!

Also you can see all your accounts, including virtual "World of Warcraft Gold" etc. and get financing from their crowdfunding society.

Finally, the Fidor Bank's CEO Matthias Kroener noted that cost per sale was about 1 euro through FB in comparison with traditional bank's campaigns which costs 7 euro through Google.

By the way Fidor Bank has full banking license in Germany and no branches at all.
